I went to a previous tutor but still couldn’t understand topics, so I joined Master Maths where I had remote lessons and each lesson I was guided through the topics and given exam style questions. It was very useful and I went up by 2 grades, achieving a grade 7 at GCSE!

Year 11 (2021)

I had lessons for one year before my GCSE exam, they really helped me understand the topics better than when I was taught at school, and with the support I was able to achieve a grade 8

Maria

Year 11 (2023)

I attended a few lessons to gain better understanding of topics I wasn’t so good at. My tutor, walked me through the topics and exam style questions until I was confident on my own. I also found that recording lessons and watching them back really aided my revision when I was unsure on what to do.

Tutoring FAQs
Are your tutors qualified?
Yes. All lessons are delivered by a UK-based GCSE Maths tutor with over 7 years of experience helping students improve their grades and confidence.
How are lessons delivered online?
Lessons are taught remotely via Zoom or Google Meet. We use screen sharing, a collaborative digital whiteboard, and live walkthroughs of real exam questions.
What types of lessons do you offer?
We offer both 1-to-1 personalised tutoring and small group sessions (2–5 students), so students can choose the support style that suits them best.
How much do lessons cost?
Group lessons cost £20 per hour, and 1-to-1 tutoring is £30 per hour. All sessions are structured, goal-driven, and tailored to each student’s needs.
Do students make real progress?
Absolutely. We tailor every lesson to the individual, focus on key areas for improvement, assign homework regularly, and track progress closely — especially for students who start at least a year before their GCSE exams.
Is homework included?
Yes. Consistent practice is essential in maths. Students receive homework every week based on their lesson, which is marked and reviewed in the following session. If a student struggles, we revisit the topic until they feel confident.
What if you can’t afford tutoring but still want support?
We believe education should be accessible to everyone. For students from low-income families or those facing financial hardship, we offer discounted tutoring rates. To qualify, you’ll need a brief statement from your school and supporting evidence of hardship. Please mention this in your contact form so we can help as best we can.
